Mikkel Aaland presented his new book “A Year On a River in Norway”. His father died under tragic circumstances and Mikkel Aaland inherited estates and houses in Ulefoss by the Telemark Canal. He took the whole family from the United States and moved to Norway for one year. Here he used the time to write a book and take pictures as therapy, and  my be to find some answers to the circumstances surrounding of his father’s death. It was a stirring speech that showed us what a wonderful man and a great photographer Mikkel Aaland is. He received a standing ovation.

Mikkel Aland presenterte sin nye bok “A Year On a River in Norway”. Hans far døde under tragiske omstendigheter og Mikkel Aaland arvet eiendommer og hus i Ulefoss ved Telemarkkanalen. Han tok med seg hele familien fra USA og flyttet til Norge for ett år. Her brukte han tiden til å skrive bok og ta bilder som terapi, og for å kankje finne noen svar på omstendighetene rundt sin fars død. Det ble et gripende foredrag som viste oss hvlket fantastisk menneske og hvilken fantastisk fotograf Mikkel Aaland er. Han fikk stående applaus.
